About The Position

This role involves supervising and managing department personnel in the daily maintenance and repairs of the property. The supervisor is responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of all buildings and grounds through preventative maintenance programs, project coordination, and effective workflow management. This includes overseeing emergency situations, developing policies, maintaining emergency procedures and equipment, monitoring utilities and employee performance, and implementing energy conservation programs. The role also involves interviewing, training, and selecting employees, supervising cleaning operations, conducting performance reviews, administering new hire training, and managing scheduling, disciplinary actions, payroll, inventory, and purchasing. The supervisor is accountable for department walk-throughs, special cleaning projects, maintaining cleanliness standards, and handling employee complaints. They will plan, supervise, and monitor the work of team members, maintain department inventory, and keep a daily shift log. The position requires a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with a reasonable amount of overtime as needed. Team members are expected to follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, participate in mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions, get along with co-workers, and work as a team. The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, respond to visual and aural cues, and maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance is essential. Adherence to attendance guidelines and compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory policies and procedures are required. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage department personnel in the daily maintenance and repairs of the property.
  • Ensure cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of all buildings and grounds through preventative maintenance programs, project coordination, and effective workflow management.
  • Communicate the coordination of duties, scheduling, capital projects, and safety issues.
  • Oversee emergency situations such as power outages, alarms, and flooding.
  • Develop policies and guidelines pertinent to areas of responsibilities.
  • Maintain emergency procedures and equipment.
  • Monitor equipment, utilities, consumption, and performance of employees.
  • Develop and implement energy conservation and awareness programs and ensure compliance with all safety standards.
  • Interview, train, and select employees for the department.
  • Supervise all cleaning operations and department personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Supervise the cleaning and follow-up of facilities and equipment.
  • Contribute to and assist in the evaluation of employee performance reviews.
  • Provide and administer all new hire training.
  • Manage scheduling, disciplinary actions, payroll, and inventory and purchasing procedures.
  • Ensure follow-through with department walk-thrus, special cleaning projects, and the maintaining of department cleanliness standards.
  • Respond to and handle employee complaints (grievances) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Plan, supervise, and monitor the work of team members in assigned area(s).
  • Maintain and control department inventory, including paper goods, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Maintain a daily shift log indicating employee incidents, irregularities, and information necessary for subsequent shifts.
  • Follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy.
