About The Position

This role is responsible for performing a wide range of building maintenance tasks, equipment installation, repairs, and troubleshooting. The technician will ensure facilities are kept in excellent condition, ready for tours and audits, and will contribute to a safe working environment. The position requires proficiency in multiple maintenance areas and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The role also involves on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience maintaining a large facility.
  • Experience with compressors and vacuum pumps required.
  • Skilled in multiple areas such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, metal fabrication, electrical, vacuum pumps, and HVAC.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with other associates and contractors.
  • Computer skills equivalent to database entry (EAM) and interfacing with Microsoft Office equivalent programs.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and respond to quickly changing priorities.
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools required to complete tasks and/or demonstrate proficiency.
  • Able to safely operate equipment such as forklifts, booms, skid steers.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter that is able to work with speed and accuracy and follow instructions well.
  • Must be able to work as a team player.
  • Must maintain an outstanding attendance record.
  • Must be able to communicate face-to-face, over the radios, via work order, and via email as necessary.
  • Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant standing and walking; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling and reaching.
  • Occasional repetitive hand and foot motions.
  • Requires ability to read, write, measure, calculate, reason.
  • Requires good visual acuity with depth perception and color vision.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in a minimum of 9 areas of building maintenance, equipment installation, repairs and equipment troubleshooting, including but not limited to, drywall, painting, sheet metal, small equipment repairs, lighting, electrical, woodworking, welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, fire alarm/suppression system, waste water system, boiler operations, air compressors/dryer operation and vacuum pump operation.
  • Proficient in use of shop machinery, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and open to acquiring additional skills as business need dictates.
  • Performs and documents inspections of drains, sprinkler systems, emergency lights, emergency exit doors, fire extinguishers, and sanitary cleaning of compressor and vacuum rooms.
  • Maintains Rockline license to operate mobile equipment including forklift, scissor lift, snorkel lift.
  • Reads, follows, inputs and closes out work orders within the time allotted.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks on Facilities systems, including vacuum pump systems and facility air compressors; including virtual and manual documentation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and repair vacuum pump systems and facility air compressors as needed.
  • Keeps Rockline Springdale, AR facilities in a “Tour Ready-Audit Ready” status by assisting with any cGMP cleaning needed.
  • As season dictates, performs ground maintenance including but not limited to trash pickup, weeding, spreading salt and clearing snow.

  • Must be able to work in an on-call rotation that will include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintains work area areas of ownership, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Identifies and leverages Continuous Improvement opportunities as applied to Facilities owned processes and equipment.
  • Communicates with Asset or Building owners of any scheduled work in their areas prior to starting.
  • Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for, quotes or any necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
