About The Position

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is seeking Face to Face Interpreters fluent in Kinyarwanda, Luganda, and/or Kirundi. As a face-to-face interpreter, you will use your language skills to assist individuals during medical, social service, and other types of appointments. This role offers a flexible schedule with good pay, allowing you to earn money based on the assignments you accept. It is a rewarding opportunity to utilize your bilingual skills to help those in need.

Requirements

Located in the Central Ohio area.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprint-based) and a 10-panel drug screening.
Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g., Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda, Luganda, and/or Kirundi.

Nice To Haves

No previous professional interpretation experience required.
English as a second language (ESL) speakers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Provide face-to-face interpretation services during appointments.
Utilize language skills to assist individuals who speak Kinyarwanda, Luganda, and/or Kirundi.
Accept and complete interpretation assignments as available.
