About The Position
Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is seeking Face to Face Interpreters fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, and/or Urdu to assist individuals during medical, social service, and other types of appointments. This role offers a flexible schedule with good pay, allowing you to utilize your bilingual skills to help those in need. Assignments are available 24/7/365, and you can choose how many assignments you accept.
Requirements
- Located in the Central Ohio area.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints.
- Pass a 10-panel drug screening.
- Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
- Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
- Fluent in English and Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, and/or Urdu.
Nice To Haves
- No previous professional interpretation experience is required.
- English as a second language (ESL) speakers are welcome.
