As a 2nd shift Fabricator, you will be responsible for bending, seating, flanging and top flanging material according to work order and production drawing specifications in such a manner as to achieve safety, quality, efficiency and lean production goals. The shift hours are 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and the role is eligible for a $0.75 shift differential.

  • Stand, walk, see, talk and hear.
  • Twisting and bending in a repetitive motion.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Independently performs set-up, programming, troubleshooting, and operation of one or more production machines, including: Automatic presses, Turret presses, and Utility presses (shears, press brakes, manual presses)
  • Ensure machines run efficiently, safely, and to required specifications.
  • Performs layout, fabrication, and assembly tasks needed to meet production requirements.
  • Creates and fabricates customer specialty items when required.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and process issues with equipment or fabricated parts.
  • Verifies accuracy of completed work using measuring tools and quality standards.
  • Conducts basic equipment care, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
  • Follows all safety, operational, and company production procedures.
  • Trains and assists other production employees.
  • Provides guidance on machine operations, safety practices, and fabrication techniques
