About The Position

The Machine Shop Team Member is responsible for safely operating a variety of production machinery and equipment to support manufacturing operations while meeting quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role ensures materials and components are produced efficiently by following established work instructions, maintaining equipment and work areas, and adhering to manufacturing principles. The position also supports continuous improvement through teamwork, on-the-job training, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be able to read drawings and blueprints.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to follow processes and instruction.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery, tools, and computers.
• Perform equipment change-overs.
• Operate mobile equipment to help with roll time and production needs on line.
• Clean and maintain work area including tools.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Safely use hand tools.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Maintain material supply adhering to just in time manufacturing principles.
