About The Position

MAAG Pump Systems, Automatik Plastics Machinery, Maag Gala Industries, Reduction Engineering Scheer, Ettlinger, AMN, Witte and Sikora have joined forces to become a global partner for the polymer industry. As a manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems, and pulverizers, they offer top-grade equipment for demanding requirements in the polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The Fabricator position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to process metal or plastic materials.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Technical training in reading blueprints.
• Operator forklift experience.
• Willingness to learn.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
• Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues.
• Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win.
• Customer-focused.
• Measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel & Stainless Steel.
• Provides a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Ability to multitask.
• Candidate must be reliable.
• Ability to use grinding tools.

Responsibilities

• Controls machines and processes using direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
• Handles and moves objects using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
• Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of problems or defects.
• Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
• Lifts raw materials manually or using a hoist.
• Uses computers and computer systems to program and set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Reads blueprints.
• Operates a forklift.
• Tests, measures, and adjusts machines when needed.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Follows all safety rules and quality standards.
• Follows all company rules and policies.
