About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Fabricator to join our team at Barco Products. This role is responsible for safely fabricating components from recycled plastic materials, operating production equipment, and producing high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. The Fabricator plays a critical role in supporting production flow, hitting daily output targets, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and cut lists in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and basic dimensional calculations.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality and minimizing rework/scrap.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot routine equipment or process issues.
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic and reliability.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6+ months of manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or related trade experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with plastics, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or CNC routing equipment is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate woodworking equipment to fabricate recycled plastic components in accordance with work instructions, prints, and quality standards.
  • Run equipment, including miter saws, table saws, shapers, routers (table and hand), drill presses, and hand tools with precision and efficiency.
  • Load, secure, and process recycled plastic materials, ensuring proper orientation, nesting, and material utilization.
  • Interpret work instructions, cut lists, and product specifications to produce parts to exact dimensions and tolerances.
  • Apply profiles, edge finishes, and secondary operations to meet product and customer requirements.
  • Perform trimming, deburring, sanding, and finishing operations to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Complete drilling and basic assembly operations per specification.
  • Monitor cycle times and production output to meet or exceed daily throughput targets.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment, tooling, or material issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Inspect parts for quality, including dimensional accuracy and visual defects; escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards (sweeping, scrap removal, tool organization).
  • Accurately read a tape measure and perform calculations to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisors to maintain production flow.
