About The Position

A Fabricator is a skilled worker responsible for precisely cutting, shaping, welding and assembling metal components using a variety of fabrication machines, tools and techniques. Other abilities include attention to detail, general understanding of fabrication processes and ability to read and understand blueprints while maintaining safety standards within a manufacturing environment. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is located in our assembly plant in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Prior experience of 2 years or more in metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Prior ability in welding techniques like GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW welding
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances
  • General problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance with industry standards

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine metal fabrication requirements.
  • Mig Weld Carbon Steel and be able to adjust MIG weld settings.
  • Select appropriate metal materials and equipment based on project specifications.
  • Cut, shape, and form metal materials using tools such as shears, saws, punches, and drills.
  • Operate manual and automated machinery to assemble and fabricate components.
  • Conduct simple quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Use press brakes, Saw, Rolls, and other metal fabrication equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
  • Work with the production order process and inventory transfers required in SAP.
