About The Position
Swenson Spreader, LLC is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join their team in Lindenwood, IL. This role involves performing a variety of machine shop and fabrication operations to support production, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Requirements
- Dexterity and agility to maintain pace
- Use of basic power tools (grinder, impact drill, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Able to read tape measure
- Able to stop/start machine
- Ability to identify steel size and type
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Practice machine guarding procedures
Responsibilities
- Determine order to be processed
- Identify components to be processed
- Perform necessary set up on desired work center using blueprint
- Start up/operate and control desired machine or a combination thereof (saw, drill, lathe, metal muncher, etc.)
- Inspect/evaluate quality of part produced for conformance using blueprint and measuring tools
- Accurately report labor and production
- Use and understanding of manufacturing orders
- Safety and Housekeeping
- Embrace lean philosophy
- Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
