Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Operation Monitoring: Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Bending, seating, flanging and top flanging material according to work order and production drawing specifications in such a manner as to achieve safety, quality, efficiency and lean production goals.
  • Independently performs set-up, programming, troubleshooting, and operation of one or more production machines, including: Automatic presses, Turret presses, and Utility presses (shears, press brakes, manual presses).
  • Ensure machines run efficiently, safely, and to required specifications.
  • Performs layout, fabrication, and assembly tasks needed to meet production requirements.
  • Creates and fabricates customer specialty items when required.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and process issues with equipment or fabricated parts.
  • Verifies accuracy of completed work using measuring tools and quality standards.
  • Conducts basic equipment care, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
  • Follows all safety, operational, and company production procedures.
  • Trains and assists other production employees.
  • Provides guidance on machine operations, safety practices, and fabrication techniques.
