About The Position

Doosan Bobcat is hiring a Fabricator in Bismarck. The role involves safely and efficiently operating fabrication equipment, which may include brake, plasma, punch press, saw, shear, laser, and folding machines, as well as a variety of CNC machines. The schedule is 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Overtime may be required. The position requires following established methods and procedures, working rapidly under time pressure for extended periods to meet build requirements, and reading build sheets and blueprints. Experience operating fabrication equipment is a plus. The role requires less than 10% travel and reports to the Product Cell Leader II.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; equivalent qualifications are allowed.
Ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
Ability to follow established methods and procedures.
Ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods to meet build requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Operate a variety of CNC machines.
Lay out or detail layouts on work stock from blueprints or templates to determine dimensions, tolerances, cutting/forming speed and feed rate, and the correct position of table stops and guides.
Set up machines and load and unload appropriate tooling.
Assemble, install, and align machine tooling according to specifications.
Position work pieces against fixtures or stops on the machine bed or die.
Start machines and observe operations to detect misalignment or malfunction.
Set stops on machine beds and perform regular calibration as necessary.
Verify work-piece dimensions and complete inspection documentation.
Perform overtime work as required.
Follow established methods and procedures and work rapidly under time pressure to meet build requirements.
