About The Position

MAAG Pump Systems, Automatik Plastics Machinery, Maag Gala Industries, Reduction Engineering Scheer, Ettlinger, AMN, Witte and Sikora have joined forces to become a global partner for the polymer industry. As a manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing, and filtration systems, and pulverizers, they offer top-grade equipment for demanding requirements in polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The Fabricator position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery to process metal or plastic materials.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Technical training in reading blueprints.
• Operator forklift certification.
• Willingness to learn.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
• Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues.
• Strong team player, work ethic and commitment to win.
• Customer-focused.
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel & Stainless Steel.
• Measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
• Provides a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
• Ability to multitask.
• Candidate must be reliable.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material.
• Control machines and processes using direct physical activity.
• Handle and move objects using hands and arms.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of problems or defects.
• Perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Lift raw materials manually or using a hoist.
• Use computers and computer systems to program and set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Read blueprints.
• Operate a forklift.
• Test, measure, and adjust machines when needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use grinding tools.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
