About The Position

As Fabricator at Ironsmith Fire’s fabrication shop, one will play a crucial role in the assembly and preparation of fire sprinkler system components. This position requires a hands-on approach to fabricate, assemble, and prepare high-quality fire sprinkler parts using various tools and machinery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and aligned with our core values of effective communication, trustworthiness, disciplined, results-driven, and professional.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of machinery and tools including welders, pipe threaders, hand tools, saws, and grinders to fabricate and prepare fire sprinkler system components.
Follow detailed fabrication instructions, assembly drawings, and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient production.
Perform daily clean-up and organization of the fabrication shop to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Inspect equipment and tools for safety and functionality. Report any issue to the Shop Foreman to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
Participate in inventory management tasks, including counting, organizing, and replenishing materials and tools as needed.
Assist in loading and unloading materials and completed components, ensuring secure and proper handling to avoid damages.
Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in the shop.
Engage in continuous learning and training to improve skills and knowledge in fire sprinkler system fabrication.
Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Deliver parts and material to job sites, and pick material up from vendors representing Ironsmith Fire in a professional manner.
Support the shop foreman in efforts to meet the obligations of its purpose (to serve the installation crews) while maintaining balance and efficiency of the fabrication processes.
