About The Position
Bridgewater Studio is growing! We're looking for talented and experienced Fabricators and Scenic Carpenters to become part of our fast-moving, creative, and collaborative team. Located in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood, Bridgewater Studio is a nationally recognized Experiential Design and Production Agency. We create immersive, story-driven environments for some of the world's most recognizable brands and institutions-including the Smithsonian, Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, Universal Studios, Nike, and LinkedIn.
Requirements
- Experienced in themed fabrication and carpentry for museums, retail, experiential marketing or technical theatre
- Strong skills in fabrication, installation, carpentry, cabinet building, prop fabrication, experiential marketing, theme park and museum exhibit fabrication
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read and interpret 2D shop drawings
- High attention to detail
- Familiarity with woodworking processes and equipment, HPL laminate, finish carpentry, fixturing and assembly
