Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Proficient in TIG and MIG welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Skilled in precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
High attention to detail.
All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in Metal Technology.
Vocational Degree/Certificate.
Set up and operate a CNC plasma table.
3d modeling and CNC programming.

Responsibilities

Prepare materials for fabrication, including cutting to size, grinding, deburring, and polishing to a mirror finish.
TIG and MIG welding various materials, including stainless steel and aluminum.
Read and interpret measurements from machine shop inspection equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
Work from technical drawings and blueprints.
Operate machine shop and fabrication equipment, including lathes, milling machines, band saws, hydraulic presses, air tools, and grinders.
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
Identify requirements for unique projects.
Deliver creative solutions to meet specifications.
Follow defined instructions and procedures when performing tasks.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe, clean work area.
