About The Position

The Fabricator II prepares aluminum parts for secondary processes using work instructions and various power tools, helping maximize the design, quality, and performance of the company’s boats. The role involves cutting, shaping, forming, and fabricating aluminum parts to specifications; operating machinery and hand tools; inspecting completed work; and preparing parts for powder coating. The position requires following work instructions and schematics carefully, recording labor in company computer systems, and maintaining an organized work area. Work takes place in a high-humidity, non-climate-controlled environment, including a parts-washing booth.

Requirements

Ability to read a tape measure.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting work instructions and schematics.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Experience operating machinery such as saws and drills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work in a high-humidity, non-climate-controlled environment, including a parts-washing booth.
Ability to stand for long periods.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Safely use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and form aluminum parts.
Fabricate aluminum parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret work instructions and schematics.
Operate machinery such as saws and drills, as well as other hand tools.
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Use scan stations to accurately record labor in company computer systems.
Follow complex instructions to avoid costly mistakes.
Use templates or patterns to drill holes to specifications and accurately cut and drill parts.
Transition quickly between a variety of cutting and drilling tasks.
Wash parts in preparation for powder coating.
