Fabrication Technician – Multiple Functions and Shifts
About The Position
Habasit is seeking Fabrication Technicians for multiple job functions and shifts at their Suwanee, Georgia facility. These are full-time, direct-hire opportunities. The available roles include Standard Fabrication (measuring, cutting, and pressing fabric belts), Special Fabrication (performing specialized belt modifications like perforations and V-guides), and Automated Fabrication (setting up and operating automated machines). Applicants will be considered for openings based on shift availability, experience, skills, job requirements, and business needs. The specific job function, shift, and starting rate will be discussed during the initial screening process.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to read and understand work instructions, safety information, measurements, and job specifications in English.
- Able to use a calculator and tape measure.
- Able to learn and safely operate production machinery.
- Able to complete the PTR training and qualification requirements for the assigned job function.
- Able to successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Able to stand, walk, sit, reach, handle materials, and perform repetitive movements required by the assigned position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Basic computer skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual quality inspections before and after completing assigned work.
- Measure materials and finished products to verify conformance with job specifications.
- Complete and initial work orders to document finished work and required inspections.
- Set up, adjust, and operate assigned machinery and equipment.
- Load and position materials, parts, and products.
- Set machine stops or guides using a scale, rule, or template.
- Monitor equipment to identify product defects or machine malfunctions.
- Read job specifications to determine machine settings and material requirements.
- Access company databases to retrieve work instructions.
- Perform minor machine maintenance, including cleaning and oiling machines, dies, and workpieces.
- Load, unload, stock, pack, and prepare materials or completed products for shipment.
- Maintain established safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
