Elliot Industries, Inc (a MacLean Power Systems Company) has an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator Technician. The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Machine Shop.
  • Have the ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Have the ability to read fabrication/welding blueprints, schematics and manuals.
  • Must be able to read tape measures and other measuring devices.
  • Analytical Skills and high-level attention to detail are both required.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment are required.
  • Must be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Performing necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Operating/monitoring multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
  • Adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications in a timely manner.
  • Communicating with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Housekeeping and sanitation.
