The Fabrication Technician is responsible for executing metal fabrication and installation tasks with precision and attention to detail in the Fabrication Shop.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED is required.
Solid knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical tools.
Ability to learn a variety of fabrication equipment and techniques.
An aptitude for mechanical assembly.
Time management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Read and follow complex directions in manuals and relay information in reports.
Must treat everyone equally with respect and dignity.
A valid driver’s license and the ability to work legally in the US.
Pass a drug screening.
Clean motor vehicle record.

Nice To Haves

Certification from a vocational school or trade school preferred.
2 to 5 years of assembly experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes or bending sheet metal.
Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs.
Pulls parts off the laser table and stacks the parts.
Prep parts for painting by organizing pallets of parts and hanging parts on the paint coat line.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
Know and comply with all safety policies, standards, and procedures that apply to your job.
Actively participate in all required training and safety meetings.
Use the correct tools and use them safely.
Immediately report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
Abide by all policies and procedures established by Moser Energy Systems.
Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor.
