Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 1 year Metal Fabrication experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a machine operator or a graduate of a machine certificate program.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience with engineering software such as Enterprise, Metacam, Mastercam, Inventor or CAD.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience with measuring devices (i.e., tape measure and calipers).
  • A minimum of 6 months experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams or drawings, and operating instructions.
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of El Paso, TX (50 miles) will be considered for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in bus or metal fabrication including punch/bend tooling and related processes.
  • Experience with Eaton system DMM or related MES software.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
  • Cross-train to support and fill in for other job functions (e.g., punching or bending) as needed, while working from travel documents, blueprints, and verbal or written instructions to set up and operate machines such as the shear, press brake, horizontal bender, and hole-cut punching equipment.
  • Conduct Enterprise Database reviews to verify part specifications and documentation, while requesting, updating, or creating DXF files and reviewing Metacam files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compatibility with production systems.
  • Manage and control the flow of information, including validation reports and engineering changes, before and after releasing jobs to Production to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain job progress in the assigned area while proactively identifying process improvements, conducting root cause analysis for quality, engineering, or production issues, and effectively communicating or escalating any concerns regarding production.
  • Responsible for quality, including measuring finished parts with tape measure and/or calipers, visual inspections of material, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
