About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting fabrication operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in meeting customer orders. The position involves operating equipment, packaging orders, monitoring processes, performing general machine maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety guidelines, including job rotation for strenuous tasks.

Requirements

Basic computer skills
Ability to recognize safety concerns
Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
A highly motivated self-starter
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product
Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts according to customer specifications

Responsibilities

Exhibit active leadership to model and support the company’s vision, culture and strategies.
Ensure safety is the number one priority by promoting and supporting a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture.
Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements.
Rotate through strenuous or repetitive jobs at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent the risk of injury.
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders by reviewing manufacturing orders and packaging orders based on customer specifications.
Follow current work center schedule to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
Monitor and recommend appropriate process improvements to safety, rates, yield, and inspection techniques.
Perform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well-maintained condition.
Provide suggestions and continuous improvement ideas to help better processes and procedures.
Keep work area clean and orderly using the 5S system.
Continually support and improve the department’s key measures.
