About The Position

The Fabrication Supervisor oversees the fabrication shop. Responsible for hourly workers' development, time approval, and productivity. Ensures assigned deliverables are completed per project schedules. Focused on improving safety standards, completing work within budget, and maintaining the highest quality standards possible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial experience
  • Must have knowledge of fabricating pipe spools and fabricating vessels
  • Must be able to read and interpret and work from engineering drawings
  • Proficient computer knowledge with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and email
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and facilitate instructions to others

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desired
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Knowledge of ASME codes a plus

Responsibilities

  • Work with Fabrication Coordinators to ensure that all deliverables are executed per the schedule
  • Report any schedule deviations to Senior Supervisor, Project Managers, and Scheduling Department
  • Send inspection notifications following the ITP/JQR
  • Ensure the Senior Supervisor authorizes overtime
  • Accountable for hours and durations of assigned projects as well as the accuracy of the team's billable hours/KRONOS approvals
  • Accountable for the quality of work performed by assigned employees
  • Responsible for calibration & maintenance of tools and equipment in the assigned area
  • Ensure the team's participation in the Safety Program
  • Conduct morning toolbox meeting, use your teams Performance Boards daily (keep employees updated with actual hours & % complete)
  • Influence the development and implementation of process improvements and/or training needed for team members
  • Accountable for housekeeping and "5S" of the assigned area
  • Perform other duties as required
