About The Position

Purpose of Position: To provide welding/fabrication and machining support for the company. Essential Functions Analyze and repair welding/fabrication malfunctions. Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment. Report (in writing) materials and replacement parts needed for jobs; prepare and maintain maintenance invoices are required. Direct/instruct subordinate employees still in training (e.g., welders/fabricators, classes B and C). Lay out estimate jobs; determine appropriate metal types/thicknesses to be used. Weld mild steel, stainless and aluminum metals. Must have 4 years’ experience with using lathe and milling machines. Machining of pins, bushings, shafts, keyways, etc. Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned, to include: General cleaning and/or assisting other crews if required. Maintaining safety, housekeeping, and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.

Requirements

• Must have 4 years’ experience with using lathe and milling machines.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of training on the job and/or formal schooling.
• Must be able to pass a Welder/Fabricator Level A test.
• Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work from a ladder.
• Must have and maintain a California driver’s license and an acceptable DMV record.

Benefits

• Pay Rate: $29.80 per hour. (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour worked between 12:00am-4:59am)
