Fabrication Specialist
About The Position
Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Fabrication Specialists to join their team in Helena, Montana, working a weekend shift (Friday-Sunday 5:30 am – 6:00 pm). The company is hiring for various experience levels, including Associate and Experienced Fabrication Specialists. The role involves setting up machines, performing machining and fabrication tasks, and creating test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for different tests. Candidates should have experience handling complex components and systems based on established drawings and requirements, and be able to collaborate with NC Programming, Quality, and Engineering teams to develop best practices for machining operations.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- 1+ years of experience setting-up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes
- Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- 3+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- 3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required strong attention to details
Responsibilities
- Performs machine set-up, machining and fabrication tasks
- Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests
- Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements
