About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Fabrication Supervisor to join our team! This role involves supervising and coordinating the installation, configuration, and maintenance of access control systems (ACS) and intrusion detection systems (IDS) across various environments. The supervisor will ensure all installations meet company standards and client requirements, review and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical schematics, and provide technical support. Additionally, the role includes supervising technicians in the use of tools, cable running, hardware connection, system testing, and troubleshooting. The supervisor will also lead issue identification and resolution, coordinate team tasks to meet deadlines, and enforce safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronics theory and repair techniques.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • High level of accuracy in inspection and repair work.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proven experience with hand tools, multi-meters, soldering, and board-level troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Secret Clearance Required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Experience installing and servicing specific systems (e.g., Lenel, Bosch, Honeywell, HID, Genetec)
  • Experience with access control hardware (electric strikes, maglocks, card readers, etc.)
  • Familiarity with AC power (0-277V) and low-voltage DC power (0-50V) systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical conduit infrastructure and the national electric code standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of access control systems (ACS) and intrusion detection systems (IDS) across various environments.
  • Ensure all installations meet company standards and client requirements.
  • Review and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical schematics to guide technicians in accurate system installations.
  • Provide technical support and clarification as needed.
  • Ensure technicians are properly trained in the use of power tools and hand tools for wiring, mounting, and equipment setup.
  • Monitor tool usage and maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Supervise cable running and termination, hardware connection, and system testing to verify functionality.
  • Conduct spot checks and quality assurance reviews to confirm proper installation and troubleshooting.
  • Lead the identification and resolution of issues encountered during installation and servicing, ensuring systems are reliable and fully operational.
  • Escalate complex problems as necessary and provide guidance for effective solutions.
  • Coordinate tasks among technicians to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication within the team.
  • Enforce safety protocols and facility guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations.
