About The Position

This role involves assembling doors, frames, and fixed frames based on provided designs and stock using drills and other tools. The position requires attaching hardware and lock preparations, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and inspecting products for abnormalities. The Fabrication Operator must be willing to be cross-trained, work as part of a team, and adhere to all company rules, policies, and safety procedures. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, along with a sense of urgency and the ability to advance within the organization.

Requirements

Ability to accurately read a tape measure required
Proficiency in operating machinery.
Attention to detail.
Ability to use power tools.
Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
Must be able to push weights greater than 150lbs with a team.
Must be able to stand for long periods.
Must have strong hand-eye coordination/Detail Oriented.
Must be able to follow instructions from Supervisor, Plant Manager and Ops Manager.
A history of great work attendance.

Responsibilities

Assemble doors, frame, and fixed frames based on provided designs stock using drills, and other tools.
Attaches hardware and lock preparations as appropriate.
Keeps work area in a neat, safe, clean, hazard free condition.
Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at the end of each day.
Inspects products for any abnormalities and notifies supervisor immediately of any issues.
Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed.
Work as part of a team.
Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks.
Adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
Follow all company rules and policies.
Performs other duties as assigned
