We’re seeking a Fabrication Mechanic to support our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in West Caldwell, NJ. In this role, you’ll be responsible for setting up, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting manual and automated production equipment to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving in a regulated environment, and working with advanced production equipment, this role could be a great fit. This is a full-time role located in West Caldwell, NJ. 1st Shift: 6:15 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to gown and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to wear required PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, gloves, Tyvek suit, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, repair, and maintain pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues during production
  • Perform equipment changeovers and provide support to fabrication operators
  • Conduct routine autonomous and preventive maintenance
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Communicate maintenance activities and findings with operators and supervisors
  • Follow all cGMP, FDA, DEA, and internal SOP requirements
  • Promote and uphold a strong safety-first culture
