About The Position
Stainless Piping Specialists is hiring enthusiastic individuals to join our team for general machine and fabrication duties. This role includes training and advancement opportunities that may include Laser machine operation. Join our team and work with a great talented group here at SPS! 1st & 2nd Shift opportunities available. The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, etc. for a variety of Stainless Piping components.
Requirements
- 1 year of manufacturing experience a plus.
- 1 year of fabrication and machine operation a plus.
- Blueprint reading.
- Organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform typical Fabrication and Cutting operations.
- Select proper cutting programs.
- Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required.
- Perform dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials to the supervisor.
- May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
- Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
