About The Position

Kinperium-Hiniker LLC (Hiniker) is a Minnesota based manufacturer with roots in the agricultural equipment industry since 1970. They are known for building tough, productive, and reliable equipment such as cultivators, shredders, and niche equipment like the cover crop seeder and NH3 monitors. In 1995, Hiniker expanded into designing and manufacturing snow removal equipment, offering innovative designs like the C-Plow and Scoop Plow, as well as spreaders and skid steer plows. In 2024, they acquired Daniels Plows to further strengthen their snow removal solutions. They are currently seeking a Fabricator with laser and strong manufacturing experience for their Mankato, MN location.

Requirements

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate a forklift with previous experience.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding of material properties and machining techniques.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 30 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of basic computer software for documentation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading raw material for cutting.
  • Unloading of finished product.
  • Maintenance of cleaning laser grates.
  • Working with various machines, tools, and fabrication processes to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Sorting of cut materials by work order and part number and placing them in bins for forming or warehouse storage.
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and tolerances, and making adjustments and repairs as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures, using protective equipment, and following proper handling techniques for materials and machinery.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
  • Selecting and preparing appropriate materials for each project, ensuring proper measurements and materials are used.
  • Working closely with engineers, production staff, and supervisors to meet production goals, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Keeping accurate records of material usage, project timelines, and production output, and reporting issues or inconsistencies to management.
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on fabrication equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
