About The Position

This role involves assisting in fabrication processes, requiring the employee to be capable of working in various environmental conditions and performing physically demanding tasks. The helper will support welders and other fabrication staff, ensuring operations run smoothly and safely.

Requirements

• Ability to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.
• Good dexterity with hands and fingers.
• Ability to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
• Capability of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind.
• Ability to work for long periods of times up to 12 hours a day.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
• Candidates may be required to assist welders with grinding.

Responsibilities

• Work outdoors in various elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind) for extended periods (up to 12 hours a day).
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
