We are currently seeking a reliable, goal-driven, and positive Fabrication Equipment Operator/Skilled Laborer with hands-on experience operating press brakes, plate rollers, plasma equipment, and section benders to join our team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating press brakes, plate rollers, or related fabrication equipment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience using fabrication equipment, hand tools, and measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of material grades, forming techniques, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, steel fabrication, or shop environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and commitment to safety.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in shop environments with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes.
  • Punctual, dependable, and capable of working independently or within a team environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and complete additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Operate plate rollers, press brakes, plasma equipment, section benders, and other fabrication machinery to produce high-quality fabricated parts.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, work orders, and specifications to determine material, dimensions, and setup requirements.
  • Adjust machine setups, tooling, and inputs while verifying dimensions and quality using measuring instruments.
  • Utilize fabrication equipment and hand tools to cut, drill, shape, grind, finish, fit, and assemble metal components.
  • Perform hydro testing and assist with fabrication support activities including material handling, staging, identification, and spool tag/MTR tracking.
  • Safely operate shop equipment including grinders, band saws, and other fabrication tools.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, routine equipment inspections, and report deficiencies or quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain inspection records and complete required production or quality documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all PPE, safety, and company procedures.
  • Work independently or within multiple production departments while prioritizing tasks to meet production targets.
  • Complete general shop labor duties and additional tasks as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.
