About The Position

GM Design is looking for a Design Lead to join the talented and dedicated individuals of the Fabrication Engineering Team. This team uses surface data crafted by the Design Studios and develops 3D parts that can be fabricated and assembled by the Design Fabrication Shops. The Design Center Fabrication Engineering team uses Siemens NX along with other CAD tools to aid in the Design process by engineering the studio’s conceptual designs into three-dimensional life-like models. We are looking for a motivated NX Design Lead with knowledge of fabrication processes and materials to help direct a team of designers that converts early Studio A surface into three dimensional models for the fabrication of Design properties and show vehicles. We need a teammate dedicated to a philosophy of designing to simplify assembly and to reduce material costs while leading others to do the same.
