This position is responsible for the forming, cutting, sharpening, piercing, welding, and/or the painting of fabricated materials for the use of a final product. The role involves performing moderately complex welding operations, utilizing a variety of welding equipment while ensuring all safety measures are used. The associate may be exposed to extreme temperatures and perform work in a confined area, and will be responsible for moving parts in and out of the welding area. Additionally, the position requires the ability to read and understand moderately complex blueprints, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, and schematics. The Fabrication Associate I is responsible for their own product quality, proper measuring techniques, and tool use and care. They will evaluate and perform basic troubleshooting, obtaining support from supervision and engineering as needed. The role may periodically provide input to supervision, engineering, and quality groups relative to product improvement. A key responsibility is to establish and maintain a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements. Other tasks may be requested to assure the effective and continuous utilization of assets.
