About The Position

Use hand tools to assemble fabricated parts and perform basic operations on manufacturing equipment/machines. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

  • Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest.
  • Must have the ability to safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Must have the ability to be cross-trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s).
  • Must have the ability to work under general supervision and direction from leadership team.
  • Must have the ability to safely use hand tools and standard power tools.
  • Must have the ability to operate machines safely with minimal supervision.
  • Must have the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Must have the ability to use a hydraulic lift, hand tools, standard power tools, measuring tools, small table lifting device and electronic testing equipment.
  • Must have the ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
  • Must be able to Push/Pull/Lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to Stand/Bend/Kneel.
  • Must have a relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement.
  • Must have a willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods.
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience using hand or power tools to assemble parts or product preferred.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating machinery preferred.
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks including using hand tools to assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, perform basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery, and product packaging.
  • Test and calibrate assembled mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
  • Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team.
  • Be aware of all Quality requirements.
  • Follow the Work Instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines.
  • Identify any documentation errors and bring to the attention of the Line Leader (i.e. Bills of Material, Quality documents, Work Instructions).
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management.
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment.
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations.
  • Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times.
