About The Position

This role involves using hand tools to assemble fabricated parts and performing basic operations on manufacturing equipment and machines. The assembler will test and calibrate mechanisms, adhere to quality and safety guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities also include packaging products, identifying documentation errors, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to be cross-trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s)
  • Ability to work under general supervision and direction from leadership team
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and standard power tools
  • Ability to operate machines safely with minimal supervision
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to use a hydraulic lift, hand tools, standard power tools, measuring tools, small table lifting device and electronic testing equipment
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions
  • Ability to Push/Pull/Lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to Stand/Bend/Kneel
  • Must have a relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
  • A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience using hand or power tools to assemble parts or product preferred
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating machinery preferred
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks including using hand tools to assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, perform basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery, and product packaging
  • Test and calibrate assembled mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
  • Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team
  • Be aware of all Quality requirements
  • Follow the Work Instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines
  • Identify any documentation errors and bring to the attention of the Line Leader (i.e. Bills of Material, Quality documents, Work Instructions)
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
