Cummings Electrical is hiring an Electrical Assembly Lead for our Fabrication department at our Integrated Manufacturing facility in Arlington, TX. Cummings Electrical is expanding our Integrated Manufacturing team. We design and build custom, integrated, modular systems such as e-houses, electrical skids, HAC’s and UL 508A panels for a wide range of projects, including data centers, healthcare facilities, industrial plants, and more. Requirements

  • Experience in electrical prefabrication, manufacturing, assembly, or commercial electrical construction required.
  • Active Texas Apprentice Electrician License or Texas Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR) required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical assemblies, conduit systems, supports, panels, and related prefabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, specifications, and production documents.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment.
  • Proven ability to lead crews, coordinate workflow, and maintain production schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control, workmanship standards, and production efficiency.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices, PPE requirements, and material handling procedures.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Ability to lift materials, work on your feet, and perform physical assembly tasks in a manufacturing/shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Assembly operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Assign and coordinate work based on production priorities, labor availability, and technician skill levels.
  • Support production schedules across Large Construction, Service, and IM Production projects.
  • Perform and oversee hands-on electrical prefabrication assembly work, including racks, panels, conduit assemblies, skids, enclosures, lighting assemblies, and other custom products.
  • Provide technical guidance on layout, measuring, mounting, wire routing, labeling, and assembly practices.
  • Ensure assemblies are built according to drawings, specifications, shop standards, and quality expectations.
  • Inspect in-process and completed assemblies for accuracy, workmanship, completeness, and compliance with production requirements.
  • Identify and resolve assembly errors, material issues, and quality concerns to minimize rework and delays.
  • Train and mentor Manufacturing Technicians on assembly methods, safety procedures, tool usage, and workmanship standards.
  • Coordinate with Welding, CNC, Engraving, Paint, Logistics, and Project Coordination teams to maintain production flow and material readiness.
  • Communicate production status, bottlenecks, shortages, and schedule risks to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices, PPE usage, housekeeping, and organized work areas.
  • Support tool, equipment, and material readiness for daily production activities.
  • Track production progress, labor utilization, and completion status while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
