About The Position

A Fabric Solution Architect designs, implements, and governs end-to-end data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. This role bridges business requirements with technical architecture, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms leveraging Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Engineering, Data Science, Real-Time Intelligence, and Power BI.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric / Synapse / Azure Data Platform
  • Expertise in Data Lakehouse architecture
  • Expertise in Spark / PySpark
  • Expertise in SQL & Data Warehousing (MPP systems)
  • Experience with Data Pipelines / ETL/ELT frameworks
  • Experience with Power BI (advanced modeling, DAX)
  • Hands-on experience in Azure ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Data ingestion tools (ADF, Fabric pipelines)
  • Knowledge of Streaming technologies (Kafka/Event Hub)
  • Knowledge of Delta Lake & parquet formats
  • Enterprise data architecture design
  • Knowledge of Data governance frameworks (Purview preferred)
  • Knowledge of Scalable and cost-optimized solution design
  • Strong stakeholder communication

  • Leadership and mentoring capability

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certifications (highly desirable): DP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer, DP-203: Data Engineering on Azure, PL-300: Power BI Data Analyst
  • Experience with AI/ML integration within Fabric
  • Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD for data platforms)

Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end data architecture using Microsoft Fabric
  • Design Lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Medallion layers: Bronze, Silver, Gold)
  • Architect data integration, ingestion, transformation, and serving layers
  • Define architecture patterns for batch, streaming, and real-time data processing
  • Lead implementation of Fabric Workspaces & governance model, Data Pipelines & Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks (Spark-based engineering workloads), Data Warehouse & Lakehouse solutions
  • Configure and optimize OneLake data management
  • Design enterprise-grade semantic models (Power BI datasets)
  • Establish best practices for data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
  • Enable self-service BI and governed analytics
  • Integrate Fabric with Azure services (ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL, Event Hub, etc.) and External data sources (ERP, CRM, APIs)
  • Design hybrid/multi-cloud data integration where required
  • Implement data governance, lineage, and cataloging
  • Define role-based access control (RBAC) and data security strategies
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise data policies
  • Optimize workloads for query performance, cost efficiency (capacity planning), and data storage strategies
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Fabric environments
  • Work closely with Business stakeholders, Data engineers, analysts, and scientists, IT and cloud teams
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship
  • Drive design reviews and architecture governance
