About The Position

The Fabrication Shop Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, finishing, and installing metal components and structures according to specifications and quality standards. This position requires the safe operation of fabrication equipment, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting production schedules. The Fabricator may also be required to travel to customer locations to support installations, repairs, maintenance, and field fabrication activities.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work and applicable safety requirements.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Metal fabrication, manufacturing, welding, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.
  • Leather safety toe boots (ANSI-approved)
  • Safety glasses with side shields (ANSI-approved)
  • Appropriate work gloves
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Work in fabrication shop and field environments.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Metal fabrication, manufacturing, welding, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, fit, drill, grind, and assemble metal components and fabricated products.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, press brakes, drills, grinders, and other shop machinery.
  • Perform fit-up and tack welding as required.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the shop and at job sites.
  • Travel as needed to support field work and customer projects.
