Fab Product Engineer

SkywaterAustin, TX

About The Position

The Fab Product Engineer owns product performance throughout fab manufacturing and testing. They investigate yield issues, bin shifts, and performance changes using statistical and electrical analysis, and work with process and test engineering to drive improvements. The engineer performs electrical failure analysis with SORT testers, initiates deeper failure‑analysis efforts, and supports customer returns through expertise in fab processes and test flows. They guide associate engineers and technicians, and work with other groups on assembly‑level and customer‑related concerns. The Fab product Engineer is expected to develop and apply strong goal‑setting, data analysis, and logical problem‑solving skills while utilizing Statistical Process Control methods such as Cp/CpK. They should be proficient in electrical testing and tester operation, conduct thorough physical and electrical failure analysis, and apply effective risk‑management practices. This role requires a solid understanding of device physics, transistor fundamentals, probability and statistics, product design and functionality, fab process technology, wafer‑level and SORT test methodologies, parametric test behavior, and WET tester/probecard operation, along with reliability physics to support product performance and quality.
