About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator Punch Press - 2nd Shift. The FAB Machine Operator Press Break will perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution
Previous experience reading calipers, protractors and tape measures.
Previous experience reading blueprints.
Must live within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.

Nice To Haves

Machining Certificate
Previous experience in Fabrication
Previous DMM experience

Responsibilities

Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations
Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor
Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines
Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts
Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings
Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation
Inspect final component against work specifications
Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment
Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment
Provide on-the-job training for new Operators
Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
Complete any other assigned tasks from management
