About The Position
Western Valley Meat is a family-owned company dedicated to supporting its community. We produce high-quality meat products for sale in grocery stores and restaurants globally. We are seeking to hire team members for our Fabrication General Production Departments to perform various roles in the initial stages of meat processing. The Fabrication team is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety for our products.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and twist while using hands and arms to do simple gripping and grasping
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects
- Position requires the use of knives and hooks
- Ability to follow general workplace safety procedures and policies while wearing required personal protective equipment
Responsibilities
- Using tools and equipment such as knives, scissors, saws, scales and other specialized manufacturing equipment
- Skinning, trimming, sorting, hanging, and inspection of carcasses and other edible offal products
- Loading product into machines, packaging, boxing, labeling, and scaling of product
