About The Position

This role requires technical training or on-the-job experience to perform various tasks on machinery such as the Saw, Press/Shear/Break, Drill, Cylinder Maker, or breaking out parts on a Laser Cut Sheet, as needed by a Supervisor or Production Coordinator.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret basic measurements
• Ability to perform lifting, twisting, reaching, carrying, and bending.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to safely stand for 95% of the working shift.

Responsibilities

• Produces component parts by drilling, tapping, or reaming holes as required per drawings using powered drill presses.
• Fabricates metal component parts, primarily cut to length, by operating the NC powered band saw.
• Fabricates metal component parts by operating all metal fabrication equipment and serving as an assistant for two-man operations on a machine.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, performing work in a timely manner and to the best of their ability.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment.
