About The Position

The F139 Sustainment team is a small, high-performance program of cross-functional subject matter experts, typically one-deep in applicable disciplines. The F139 Sustainment Program Business Manager will lead efforts to ensure the on-time delivery of all contract deliverables related to Pratt & Whitney’s support of the F139 Engine, Engineering Sustainment Support (EESS) Contract with the United States Air Force. The individual is responsible for Contract management, proposal development and support and financial accountability for the program. In addition to the business aspect of the contract to maintain the cost, schedule and technical aspects of the program.

Requirements

  • BS degree
  • 8 years of business logistics, finance, and/or materials experience or an advanced degree with 5 years of the same experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10%

Nice To Haves

  • Program Management or business background specializing in management techniques, knowledge and skills to manage the program.
  • Understand Government branches and how they interact
  • Prior United States Air Force experience a must
  • Experience with Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word is desired
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision
  • Experience with CORE tools / global trade requirements / proposal or financial management
  • Demonstrate Project Management experience to include superior leadership and teaming skills, including the ability to set a vision, communicate effectively, and influence across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and define structure of the sustainment program to ensure future success
  • Support execution of sustainment activities at 3rd party depot and with the customer
  • Ensure future risks are identified and mitigation plans created
  • Manage and facilitate monthly external Program Management Team (PMT) meetings
  • Proposal for activities to support the requirements of USAF for unscheduled removal of engines
  • Financial responsibility for the sustainment program
  • Drive integration across USAF, Contracts, Military Engines Finance, Pricing, Business Acquisition Center of Excellence (BACE) and engineering
  • Develop and present material to cross-functional teams and upper levels of Program, USAF and MRO Management.
