F135 Fan Design Intern (Summer 2027) (Onsite)
About The Position
As a F135 Fan Design Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will collaborate as a discipline-focused member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and support the team when interfacing with military customers. You will also be involved in improving existing hardware by executing Engineering Changes, performing hand calculations in support of Design tasks, and conducting mechanical and functional interface integration activities between hardware groups. Additionally, you will help evaluate hardware non-conformances originating at OEM and provide recommendations for action to Manufacturers, provide interpretation of blueprints based on GD&T principles, and aid in management of fielded hardware safety and sustainment challenges at Air Force Bases, as well as internal and external engineering investigations. Requirements
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
- Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership inside and/or outside of school
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with a CAD system (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Pro/E, CATIA, or other).
- Prior internship experience
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
