About The Position

As a F&P Spray Technician, you will support our landscaping operations by applying fertilizer and pest control treatments to maintain healthy, attractive landscapes. This role is responsible for treating turf and ornamental plants, monitoring plant health, and delivering excellent service while following all safety and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, values precision, and takes pride in protecting and enhancing client properties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required pesticide applicator licenses and certifications
  • Knowledge of basic turf and plant care principles or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift equipment and perform physical job tasks
  • Minimum 1 year of chemical or spray application experience in the landscape industry
  • Ability to perform physical work in all weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in lawn care, fertilization, or pest control
  • State pesticide applicator license or certifications
  • Experience with turfgrass management and ornamental plant care
  • Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) practices
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily service routes
  • Interest in long-term career growth in lawn care, agronomy, or landscape management
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR check

Responsibilities

  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides to turf and landscape plantings according to schedules and treatment plans
  • Identify plant health issues, weeds, insects, and diseases and recommend appropriate treatments
  • Safely operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, and service vehicles
  • Follow all company procedures, label instructions, and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Mix, measure, and apply chemicals accurately and responsibly
  • Maintain detailed service records, application logs, and chemical usage documentation
  • Communicate with supervisors and account managers regarding treatment outcomes and site conditions
  • Provide professional, courteous service when interacting with clients
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Support overall landscape health by following integrated pest management (IPM) practices
  • Troubleshooting and resolving fertilization or pest issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Accurately reporting findings to the operations leadership team
  • Understanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Communicating escalations to the Account Manager and/or Specialty Services Manager
  • Maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude with internal and external clients
