About The Position

In this high volume restaurant, the Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring enthusiastic, courteous, and superior quality of service is provided to all customers. The goal is to create a venue staffed by knowledgeable, helpful, and cheerful restaurant staff who are motivated to exceed guest satisfaction and operating revenue targets. Tasks include recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and counselling team members. Ensuring all operating equipment and cash control standards and systems are used, completing inventory checks, and supervising the restaurant floor and kitchen to ensure operations are carried out effectively and efficiently are also key responsibilities. The manager should continually look for ways to improve operations to increase revenue and decrease costs.

  • Trains and corrects staff, as required, in order to ensure all staff operate at a consistent level of performance.
  • Outstanding attention to detail – both personal grooming/appearance and in properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention.
  • Demonstrates reading comprehension ability.
  • Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of restaurant management including BOH and FOH operations.
  • Willingness to work all shifts including days/evenings/weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Supervisory or Management experience in Food and Beverage, hospitality is an asset.
