About The Position

You will be the Chief Engineer for the F-35 Development Software team which is responsible for delivering cutting‑edge software solutions that enable mission‑critical aircraft performance. Your responsibilities will include: Provide Chief Engineer oversight to the F‑35 Software development team for technical baseline approval, new capability introductions, and major milestone closures. Chair and co‑chair technical boards and reviews (AWG, CERTWG, ETCB, ROMB, TRR, SRR, FRR, etc.). Engage in architecture definition, technology development, and insertion while emphasizing commonality and best practices. Ensure designs comply with Command Media, design standards, and contractual requirements. Establish strong relationships with functional engineers, suppliers, and government customers to resolve anomalies and technical issues.

Requirements

• Experience establishing and enforcement of program specific Software Development Plan.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to interface with government, program management and airworthiness representatives.
• Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

• In depth knowledge of F-35 Software Development Plan.
• Understanding of Aero Software processes (PM-4001) and it's program tailoring process.
• Experience within an F-35 Software Domain
• Knowledge of F-35 Software build and release process.
• Experience with F-35 Software airworthiness process.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
