The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior or Lead Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 4/5) to join the F-22 Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Berkeley, MO. The F-22 Raptor is the first of its kind, fifth generation fighter combining super-cruise, super-maneuverability, stealth, and sensor fusion. A successful member of this team will lead the Fleet and Production Support team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for supporting depot flow plans, fleet readiness, and production needs while leading the stress group in the F-22 Air Vehicle Structures organization. The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, work environment. Team members will work with cross-functional teams including representatives from Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, Mods & Heavy Maintenance, and Program Management. The candidate must be able to provide technical directions to teammates on structural analysis and effectively communicate with cross-functional team members, our contracting partner Lockheed Martin, and our USAF customer. A successful candidate should possess strong structural analysis skills and be proficient with classical solutions, as well as finite element software. Experience with composites and performing durability and damage tolerance analysis is desired. The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work with little oversight. Must be able to plan and execute tasks within constraints imposed by internal and external customer schedules. Good communication and leadership skills and experience mentoring junior engineers are highly desirable.
