About The Position

Join the Lockheed Martin (LM) Aeronautics Field Sustainment team as an F-22 Low Observables (LO) Contract Field Team (CFT) Supervisor where you will oversee F-22 aircraft LO contractor support operations. The scope of this position includes directly supervising a 20+ member workforce assigned to the F-22 LO Contract Field Team (CFT) at Langley AFB, Virginia, comprised of aircraft structural technicians to deliver aircraft on or ahead of scheduled timelines. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Langley Site Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading military organizational/intermediate-level aircraft maintenance operations with 15 or more team members.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with military aircraft maintenance and modification activities.
  • Experience with fleet management activities and planned maintenance events for production-focused to meet aircraft scheduled deliveries.
  • Experience with Depot Field level repair requests.
  • Demonstrated success with public speaking, technical writing, prioritizing competing projects/tasks, multi-tasking diverse activities, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • The selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Final Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with performing F-22 maintenance and leading F-22 maintenance or modification activities.
  • Experience with CFT Quality Assurance operations including LO coating activities or aircraft modification activities and Consolidated Ground Operations Procedures (CGOP).
  • Experience with engaging senior organizational/USAF leaders to resolve resource shortfalls impacting mission completion.
  • Experience with USAF products and processes to include F-22 hardware and maintenance, technical orders and technical drawings, at the organizational and intermediate levels.
  • Demonstrated success in resolving F-22 maintenance issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure team members are ready, trained, qualified, equipped, and available to support F-22 LO requirements.
  • Recruitment and hiring of CFT team members, maintain and evaluate the technical and professional competence of assigned employees, ensure their sustained growth, and training requirements are met.
  • Coordinating with Operations Manager and HR personnel to select Shift Leaders, assigning personnel to specific shifts to support schedules, and coordinating/resolving technical installation issues with the Site’s LO Operations leads.
  • Assigning and ensuring the completion of required training and medical readiness for specific team requirements.
  • Executing activities within established resources, complying with cost goals and operating budgets, and developing proposals to support evolving requirements.
  • Taking action to create and maintain a safe, hazard-free, inclusive, and professional environment to protect and maximize the employee’s capabilities and expertise.
  • Leading the CFT’s compliance with on-aircraft Ground Government Flight Representative (GGFR) requirements and implement the Site’s Consolidated Ground Operating Procedures (CGOP).
  • Ensuring timely and accurate timecard entries for appropriate labor charging, and approving the CFT members’ weekly timecard submissions.
  • Assisting the Operations Manager in synchronizing and coordinating on-site contractor manpower, funding, and equipment resources to support Follow-On Agile Sustainment for the Raptor (FASTeR) contract activities on the 1st Fighter Wing’s assigned F-22s.
  • Conduct employee performance assessments, coordinating with the Operations Manager to adjust compensation benefits, recognizing superior performance and administering disciplinary action.
  • Interfacing with the Site’s LO Operations leads to ensure production timelines can be safely achieved with assigned/available team members, and coordinating with the F-22 Modification CFT Supervisor to balance CFT workforce to meet workload peak demands.
  • The Aircraft LO Supervisor duties will require travel to support recruitment, training and safety aspects of their team to include frequent trips to Tyndall AFB, Florida until Tyndall operations cease.
